Agnes Hess

Agnes Hess, 96 died peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2012. Born in Barto PA she attended Boyertown High School. Agnes worked at Great American Knitting Mills in Bally PA, the Pottstown Hospital, and 25 years as a home missionary for the Pillar of Fire Church in Zarepath New Jersey. She was the daughter of the late Wayne and Anna Leh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Howard Hess in 2005; by her twin sister Cevilla Hoffman in 2007; and her sister, Marie Stein. Agnes will be sadly missed by her family: Daughters Anne and husband Fred Brown, Maureen and Rev. Dana Logan, Son Rev. Stephen Hess, and his wife, Betty; Brother, Gerald Leh; 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; and nieces & nephews. The family wishes to thank United Zion Retirement Community for remarkable and loving care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Agnes’s Life Celebration at Hereford Mennonite Church located at Main Street and Old Rt. 100 at Bally PA. Viewing will be on Friday, September 21, 2012 from 10-11 AM, and the service at 11 AM.
