Adolphinam Thomas

Adolphinam (Ada) Thomas, 94 of Hellertown formerly of Lawndale and Cape May, NJ died Thursday February 23, 2012 in the St. Luke’s VNA Hospice House. She was the devoted wife of the late Lewis Thomas. Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Ludwika (Vaskis) Mendel. Ada and Lew were the owner operators of the Ramble Inn in Elkins Park, PA and Villas, NJ serving home cooked meals and friendly hospitality. After retiring from the restaurant business Ada worked at Eagans in North Cape May, NJ and Kelties News Stand in Cape May, NJ. Ada was a member of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church in Hellertown. She was the loving mother of Ludwika (Terry) Nighan and Andrew Gabrick. Grandmother of Justin Nighan. She was the step mother to Marge Irvin, Helen Thomas and the late Lewis E. Thomas, Jr. There will be calling hours on Tuesday evening February 28, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. 1418 Main St. Hellertown, PA 18055.
